CHIR-99021是氨基嘧啶衍生物，是一种高效的GSK-3α（IC₅₀：10 nM）和GSK-3β（IC₅₀：6.7 nM）抑制剂，CHIR-99021对GSK-3的选择性比最接近的同源物CDC2、ERK2 以及其他蛋白激酶高500倍以上。CHIR-99021激活Wnt/β-catenin信号通路，诱导胚胎干细胞的心肌向分化。
